Social Media Saves the Day!

Ok, maybe it hasn't saved the day, but it is growing.  Rapidly.

The latest research from Nielsen (world leader in market research) found that people use social media platforms more than they do email or other online applications.  In fact, the "average" person spends at least 6 hours a month on social media sites such as facebook, youtube, twitter, linked in, etc.  As a society, we're more social than ever!  (at least virtually)

You've come to know COA as a leader in ocean advocacy--you rely on us for important science updates and breaking news.  We take that responsibility very seriously and are more committed than ever to give you the information you need in real time, and in the format you use most often.

We are working hard to create a thriving online community and would like your input.  We've got the blog.  We're on twitter, we're using youtube---and working towards excellence in all of these areas, but what's next?  We'd like you to weigh in.
  • What social media platforms do you use most often and what do you look for on them?
  • What do you like most about COA's online presence?
  • What can we do better?
Think about it and let us know.  You can comment here on the blog, on our facebook, tweet us (@cleanocean) or email us here.
