Booskerdoo

Booskerdoo.

Wondering what that means?  We were too.

Nestled in the heart of Monmouth Beach is an unassuming micro coffee roastery that offers much more than your average cup-o-joe.  Rather, the inviting shop serves up a healthy dose of coffee, brewed at its flavor peak, and a lesson in all things coffee related.  Trust us when we tell you that you’ll never look at coffee the same way again.

The new-kid to Monmouth County, Bookserdoo opened in April of 2011 and is locally owned and operated by the dynamic couple; James and Amelia Caverly.  While the shop might be new to the area, Amelia’s family is from the shore and the couple has been visiting for years.  “We’d visit for the weekend, and when Sunday would roll around, we’d reluctantly pack our bags.  We found ourselves not wanting to leave,” said James.  “A micro roasting company was always in the works, this just felt like the right place.”

Booskerdoo prides itself on offering the finest coffee’s and brining a unique coffee experience to each one of us.  They specialize in maintaining freshness throughout the brewing process and you can sip assured that you’re beans will never be stale—all coffee at Booskerdoo is roasted in-house, in the past seven days.

Don’t have time to swing by the shop?  Don’t fret, they’ve got you covered.  You can pick up their beans at Sickles market, No Joe’s Café, and the Bungalow Hotel in Long Branch.  But they don’t stop there; you can also order their beans online—or sign up for their subscription plan, where you receive regular deliveries of fresh roasted coffee to your door—at wholesale prices.  (We’re raising our cup to that!)

As if offering a strong espresso on our way to the ‘hook wasn’t enough, Booskerdoo has generously donated their coffee to our signature fall fundraiser, Sunset at Sandy Hook.  “It’s not enough to have great coffee, it’s imperative that we are also great community members as well.  Booskerdoo thrived our first summer—our business relies on a clean, vibrant coastal community and we are committed to protecting it.  We are thrilled to participate in Sunset at Sandy Hook and look forward to a great evening with new friends,” concluded James.

You can learn more about Booskerdoo on their website: http://www.booskerdoo.com/ and enjoy their roast at the 13th Annual Sunset at Sandy Hook on September 23rd.

We learned that Booskerdoo is synonymous with good coffee—and we’re certain you will too.
