Liberty Natural Gas Public Hearings Cancelled

For nearly four years now, Clean Ocean Action and our coalition partners have been fighting to stop liquefied natural gas projects from happening.  And now, it looks like that fight is over and WE WON!  Governor Christie vetoed the Liberty Natural Gas project that was proposed for off Asbury Park, NJ.  His veto signifies the end of this bad project. 

In case you haven’t heard the news yet, the Public Hearings scheduled this week for the 8^th, 9^th, and 10^th are now CANCELLED.  Since the project is dead, the Coast Guard and Maritime Administration decided it was pointless to gather public comment on it.  If you were going to come to one of the hearings, thank you for your support, but please don’t come anymore.  Instead, join us at McLoone’s Pier House,
