C.O.A.S.T Campaign Kick Off

It's almost the holiday weekend, which means the C.O.A.S.T program is about to kick off!  The first tables will be in Sea Bright this Saturday and Sunday at Ship Ahoy Beach Club, Surfrider Beach Club, and Chapel Beach Club. Stop by to speak to fellow ocean supporters, sign a petition supporting the Clean Ocean Zone, and learn more about what’s going on in the Atlantic!
Clean Ocean Action’s summer Clean Ocean Action Shore Tips (COAST) is an annual awareness campaign facilitating citizen-to-citizen communication and awareness among beachgoers about current ocean issues. Information tables will be staffed on beaches throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and at the Asbury Park Film Screening Series!

This Friday, July 1, is the kickoff press conference for the summer 2011 COAST campaign.  We will be speaking about the theme of this year’s campaign, the Clean Ocean Zone and the fight to prevent offshore drilling off the Atlantic Coast.  Details have yet to be finalized, so you'll want to make sure you're "liking" us on facebook and "following" us on twitter to stay informed.

For more information about volunteering at a COAST table (we’d love to have you!), please contact Anna Shaw, COAST Coordinator.
